Although I know my password and username I'm still having problems logging onto the members area to enter my ticks?
You need to be certain that you have cookies enabled on your pc. Click on Tools, then Internet Options from your browser and choose the Privacy tab. Adjust the slider to set your privacy level to Medium High or lower. If that doesn't work go to Tools, Internet Options and select the General Tab. Click settings and set your browser to 'Check for new pages every visit'. Now click the buttons to delete existing cookies and to delete files. If that still doesn't work go to the Connections tab, click Lan Settings and make sure the proxy server box is unchecked. The final thing to try is typing in ?=123 after www.speeddater.ie. It sometimes busts invisible caching used by your Internet Service Provider. If you still have problems after that please email admin@speeddater.ie or call us during office hours on +353 152 62472 and we'll enter your ticks for you.

Do I need to join SpeedDater?
Yes, but it's free to join. You only pay for events you attend.

How can I pay for a ticket to an event?
We now take telephone bookings 9.30am - 10pm Mon - Fri, 10am - 7pm on Saturdays and 10am - 6pm on Sundays. For general enquiries please call during office hours on +353 152 62472 (local call charge. The €1 telephone booking fee) (9.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday). Also you can pay for a ticket using the majority of credit cards or send a cheque or postal order for the correct amount made out to:

Please include your name, age, an email address, the event you're booking for and a contact phone number.

Is it safe to book online?
We use Protx to process your transactions. To read more about Protx, visit: http://www.protx.com/about_security.asp

Why do I need to book in advance?
We need to ensure a balance of men and women. We also need to ensure that enough people will be attending each event.

Why does it say 'Event not ready' for an event I went to last night?
This means we have not yet entered everyone's badge numbers after the event you attended. We aim to have all events ready by midday on the morning after the event you attended. You will receive an email to notify you that the event is open.

You don't seem to have updated your website. I can only see old events?
We update the website every day. You need to refresh your browser by clicking the refresh icon or pressing F5 or Ctrl F5. If that still doesn't work go to tools/internet options on your browser and select 'delete files'.
It's also worth checking whether or not you're using a Proxy server. To do this go to Tools Internet Options Connections and click the Lan Settings button and make sure the Proxy server box is unchecked.
